There is so much to choose from with sky and it all starts from just £19 per month with a free sky plus box and free installation. With the basic package you'll be able to get all the free to air channels plus one entertainment package.

The packages are grouped together and enable you to receive a pack of many additional channels in each group. The groups are :
- Variety pack including sky 1, living, Dave and gold
- Knowledge pack including discovery channel and national geographic
- Style and culture including sky real lives
- News and events including sky news and sky sports news
- Childrens including disney channel and nickelodeon
- Music pack including MTV and VH1
With you basic subscription you can choose one package and adding any additional will cost just £1 more per month. You can upgrade at any time online via your account.
Premium Packages - sky sports
Most people joining sky opt for one of the premium services including sky sports which includes all the Barclays premiership matches and Championship matches shown on sky sports 1 and 2. You can add this bundle to your account for just £20 per month or add in ESPN which have the rights to additional football matches from £29 per month with any basic package. You can also just add in sky sports 1 or 2 for £10 per month each.
Premium Packages - sky movies and sky world
Although not many people will just add the movies to their subscription for most that have this they have purchased the sky world package at £51 per month which includes everything in standard TV. If you bought them seperately (standard £19 plus 5 entertainment packages (£5) plus sports (£29) plus movies (£16) that would cost £69 so by getting the sky world you would save £18 per month which really means you would get the movies for free !
From all the movie channels there are over 450 films broadcast each week and they generally appear on sky around 6 months after their general release. You can check out all the current deals and offers on the sky website and manage your account online.
